Guides for Creators

Which Apps Pay Creators Per View in the UK?

Getting paid for views sounds simple, but every app does it differently, and most want a big audience first. Here's what's open to UK creators at the time of writing (October 2026), what each one needs and how the pay works.

TikTok's Creator Rewards Programme

At the time of writing, TikTok's Creator Rewards Programme is open in the UK to creators who are 18 or over, with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. It pays for original videos that are at least a minute long, posted from a personal account, and what you earn per 1,000 views varies with where your viewers are and how long they watch. Ads and sponsored videos, including Brief72 campaign videos, don't earn rewards.

Before you reach that size, other options include LIVE gifts (you must be 18 or over to go LIVE and to receive gifts, and you usually need 1,000 followers to go LIVE, though TikTok says this varies by region) and commission from TikTok Shop (from 500 followers in the UK, at the time of writing).

YouTube's Partner Programme

YouTube shares the money from ads with creators in its Partner Programme. At the time of writing, it needs 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 qualified watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days. From 1 February 2027, YouTube is raising this for new applicants to 8,000 qualified watch hours in the last 12 months or 20 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days, still with 1,000 subscribers. Channels already in the programme aren’t affected.

A lower level opens fan funding, such as channel memberships, Super Chat and Super Thanks, and YouTube Shopping, but not a share of ad money. For that you need 500 subscribers, 3 public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 qualified watch hours in the last 12 months or 3 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days. YouTube's eligibility rules have the details.

Instagram

Instagram's own ways to earn, such as subscriptions and gifts, depend on your account, your country and your follower numbers, and they change regularly. You'll find what's open to you in your professional dashboard. If those tools aren't open to you yet, you can still get paid for your videos on Instagram through brand deals.

Getting Paid by Brands from 1,000 Followers

Platform programmes mostly need a bigger audience, or a lot of watch time, before they pay. Brand campaigns can open up sooner: on Brief72 you can apply once you're 18 or over with 1,000 followers on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube.

Brands pay for campaigns per view, but you're paid a fixed fee for each approved video. Each brief shows what you'll be paid if you're approved, and your fee is fixed when you're approved: the views your post gets don't change it. Once your video is live and you've added its link in the app, we check its views for 5 days. If there are no warning signs, your fee goes into your Brief72 account. If there are, our team reviews the fee and pays it in full or not at all. See how it works for creators.

Make Your Views Count

  • Hook people in the first two seconds.
  • Keep it real: an honest take works better than a script read word for word.
  • Post when your audience is online. Your analytics will show you when.
  • Never buy views or followers. Apps and brands can often spot them, and on Brief72, if a post shows signs of fake views, our team reviews the fee, and it's paid in full or not at all.

Does TikTok pay per view in the UK?

Yes, through its Creator Rewards Programme, for creators who are 18 or over with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, and only for original videos at least a minute long (at the time of writing).

How much do apps pay per 1,000 views?

It varies with the app, where your viewers are and how long they watch, so there isn't one rate. Brief72 doesn't pay per view: you get a fixed fee for each approved video, and each brief shows it before you apply.

Can I get paid for views with 1,000 followers?

Not from TikTok's Creator Rewards, which needs 10,000 followers. YouTube's Partner Programme starts at 1,000 subscribers, but you also need 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days (twice that for new applicants from 1 February 2027). With 1,000 followers, brand campaigns are a way in: on Brief72 you can apply if you're 18 or over, and you're paid a fixed fee for each approved video rather than per view.

Are views from bots paid?

Brief72 doesn't pay per view: you get a fixed fee for each approved video. Every post's views are checked for 5 days, and if there are warning signs, such as signs of bought views or fake engagement, our team reviews the fee, and it's paid in full or not at all.
